How To Support A
Musician You May Know (Not With just $$)
There are many musicians
out there in the world that you can decide to support by doing a random act of
kindness. Many musicians struggle with finding a place where they can be
successful in what they love. So much time and effort goes into just writing
and recording the music, its is easy to forget what all goes into making an
artist, someone people out there look to support and many get taken for granted
and never get the light they deserve. There are so many musicians out there and
so many genres, a musician can get lost in the ones and zeroes on the web. With
this being said, supporting an artist is a task in itself, but every musician
out there will appreciate you and reach out to conversate more rather than
feeling scrutinized, not looked at as an artist.
Going on there
social media sites and sharing a post they have shared is a great way to engage
with the musician, dropping some comments on how the post made you feel, or
what you liked about the post/song the musician has posted. Also sharing their
social media sites to others greatly helps the artist expand their reach to others
that wouldn’t normally stumble upon them. Writing a post upon how the musician is
a hardworking, motivated, determined individual and others support would help
them is another great way to support a musician.
Choosing a
song/album that the musician has posted/distributed and writing how it made you
feel and relating it to a story in your life is also one of the best ways to
support that friend or family member you have that would love your support.
Asking them what the song is about or what they meant in a certain lyric can
also expand that relationship and help that musician feel like you honestly
care and don’t just see them as another person in this world and someone you
appreciate.
Last purchasing
their music, donating and investing in a musicians work in on the top of the
list on how to support a musician you may know or want to know. Many musicians
struggle in life and do a lot to make it their main career but many do not get
to that point and it takes a lot of money to be successful in any business in
life. Merch, promotions, beats, mixing ,features ,getting on festivals all
